Camcare provides a service called Psychological Strategies (formerly known as ATAPS).
These services are offered under the Eastern Melbourne Public Health Network and include:
- Better Outcomes in Mental Health Care/ General Psychological Strategies
- Child Mental Health Service
- Perinatal Depression Support
Psychological Strategies (formerly known as ATAPS) is an Australian Government program that was developed to improve the health outcomes of low income and disadvantaged people with mental health issues in the community. Introduced in 2001, Psychological Strategies is part of the Better Outcomes in Mental Health Care Program, and was developed to deliver short term, goal orientated, focused psychological strategies to individuals with common mental disorders of mild to moderate severity. These could include conditions such as depression and anxiety.
Who is eligible?
Camcare have funding to support all age groups (including children) with a mild to moderate mental health diagnosis, or who are at risk of developing a mental illness. It is aimed at those who are low income or disadvantaged and could benefit from a short term focused psychological strategies intervention. Our specialist practitioner has experience working with both children and adults and will ensure a confidential and supportive approach.

Talk to your GP regarding a referrral.
