Integrated Family Services Caseworker – Family Violence Case Worker

Part time (0.8 FTE)

Camcare is a not for profit community agency that provides  a suite of services – wellbeing counselling and family support, material aid, access to allied psychological services and information and advice to residents of the City of Boroondara and surrounding suburbs. Camcare’s Integrated Family Services (IFS) program works across the Municipalities of Boroondara, Manningham, Monash and Whitehorse.

The IFS Caseworker – Family Violence Case Worker position provides specialised outreach and case management to families where Family Violence has been identified. The role also involves consultancy and support to colleagues around Family Violence and group programs to families.  The program aims to ensure the safety and well being of children and young people by addressing protective concerns and enhancing family functioning.

The IFS Caseworker – FV Case worker role will suit professionals with experience in the Family Violence and /or Family Services sector and a commitment to working with a child focussed, family centred approach. Knowledge and experience of working within the Best Interests Framework, plus knowledge of attachment and trauma would be an advantage.

The position is part of the Integrated Family Services Team and is based at our Ashburton office.

This role is currently 0.8 EFT with O.4EFT IFS-FV casework and 0.4EFT Generalised IFS case work. Applications will be accepted for people who are seeking strictly IFS- FV casework at 0.4 EFT minimum.

Manager Counselling and Family Services

Part time (0.6 FTE)

Camcare is a vibrant local community support agency providing services in the City of Boroondara. Some of our services extend into neighbouring inner eastern municipalities of Whitehorse and Monash.

Following the resignation of the previous incumbent, we are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join the management team. Services currently delivered include:

Well being services; individual, couple and family counselling; outreach support for women at risk of post natal depression; group work; Integrated Family Services; sessional Psychological Services for children, young people and adults

Key responsibilities are:

  • Program management, quality improvement and contractual compliance
  • Development of new programs aligned with Camcare’s mission to meet community need
  • Ensuring programs have appropriately qualified staff with competencies suitable for their roles and that their performance is monitored and reviewed annually
  • Alliances and partnerships which increase the range of services, or deliver improved services, and enhance Camcare’s capacity and sustainability

Office Administrator

Part time (0.5 FTE) over three days

Camcare is a vibrant local community support agency providing services in the City of Boroondara and neighbouring areas.

Camcare is seeking a highly capable and experienced person for this role which supports Camcare’s Client Services team at our Ashburton office, and the administration team and reception at our Camberwell office. Key activities include ensuring the smooth running of both sites, maintaining confidential client records, reporting performance statistics to government on a quarterly basis, supervising reception staff (paid and volunteer), reception duties including answering the phone and various other office tasks.

The position requires someone with excellent communication and time management skills, who is able to work effectively with the administrative team, staff and volunteers, and maintain confidentiality.

Proficiency with MS Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel is required. Experience with funded agency databases such as IRIS and FIXUS would be highly regarded. Medical Receptionists

Position one: Monday to Friday approximately 26.5 hours per week starting at 11am and finishing either at 4 or 5 pm.

Position two: Monday and Thursday evening 4 – 8pm (This role has been filled)

Camcare is a not for profit community based organisation assisting people who are facing personal hardship or difficult life circumstances.  We seek to ensure the provision of high quality services, which will bring about significant improvements in the life and experience of the children, young people and families with whom we work.

From April 2017 we are expanding our services and require 2 enthusiastic and motivated receptionists to facilitate both our existing services and our start up psychology service.  Our reception will operate Monday and Thursday 11 am to 8pm and Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 11 – 5 pm.

To be considered for this position you must meet each of the minimum requirements outlined below.

Essential:

  • Minimum 12 months recent experience working within allied health or medical reception
  • Sound knowledge of the Medical Benefits relevant to mental health.
  • Well-developed working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products ie. Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to assist with leave coverage when required
  • Capacity to accommodate change
  • Ability to relate to people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.

Desirable:

  • Sound knowledge of Practice Management and Clinical Software
  • An understanding or experience in general practice
