Communicating with Children: The “Tuning into Kids” Program

The Tuning into Kids program is designed for parents of children in primary school. This program aims to help you understand your child and provides you with different methods for responding to your child’s behaviour.

Tuning in to Kids will introduce you to different parenting styles, which you can use to enhance your own parenting and improve your child’s wellbeing. If you want to learn how to settle your kids, how to help them with fears, anxiety, and anger, and to feel more in control and less stressed as a parent, this program may be right for you.

Positive Parenting for Teenagers: The “Tuning into Teens” Program

The Tuning in to Teens program is designed for parents of teenagers and high-school-aged children. The program aims to help you understand your teenage child and provides you with different methods for responding to them during their teenage years.

Tuning in to Teens will introduce you to different parenting styles, with a specific focus on the teenage years, so you can nurture the wellbeing of your growing teenager. If you want to learn how to approach common teenage behaviours and anxieties, how to feel patient and in control as the parent of a teenager, and how to communicate with your teenager with less conflict, this program might be right for you.

Parenting Advice for Your Own Wellbeing: The “Baby’s Okay, But What About You?” Program

Sometimes, the advice new mothers need is not in relation to their children at all, but to their own wellbeing.

The Baby’s Okay, But What About You? Program is a nine-week course that offers support for new parents. This group support program is run three times a year.

This program allows new mothers to explore their changed lifestyle, new feelings, and concerns, and provides the opportunity for play. It is co-facilitated in partnership with the Boroondara Maternal and Child Health Program.
